HOW TO MAKE A KILLER HOT CHOCOLATE - GOT LOVE?
Valentine’s Day is the best time to get cozy with a mug of hot chocolate and a loved one. How to make a killer cup of hot chocolate? Follow this simple recipe and you will never look back.
The most important factor here is to use a simple mix on ingredients with special attention to quality dark chocolate - preferably Belgian, if you can get your hands on some. Although there are many equally good hot chocolate recipes, this must be one of the easiest to follow.
What you need:
1 liter of whole milk
230g of quality dark chocolate, at least 70% cocoa, finely chopped
115g of milk chocolate, finely chopped
a pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (Don’t love cinnamon? Don’t add any)Whipped cream and chocolate shavings to garnish.
Handful of love per cup.
What to do:
Warm up half the milk with chopped chocolate and pinch of salt until the chocolate is melted. Don’t let the mixture rise to a boil!
Add the rest of the milk into the mixture slowly. Whisk it in, if you are able, if not - just keep a steady hand and pour it as slowly as you can while stirring.
Let the mixture warm thoroughly, but do not let it come to a boil. Add cinnamon (optional).
Use a blender to blend the mixture until it is smooth as silk, but this is not necessary if you think your creation is already top-notch. Pour the chocolate into mugs and top up with some whipped cream and chocolate shavings, serve warm.
